Yo-Yo Ma New braunfels Concert reviews
Toto out played Journey
"I paid dearly for 1st row tix, but Ticketmaster: Your ticket system sucks. Your instructions said the ticket had to be online, not a screen shot. All is well UNTIL I tried to get back to my seat after intermission. No phone data in Rose Garden to pull up the live ticket. And due to your instructions, I did not have a screen shot. Argued with security, missed the first 5-8 min of Yo-Yo Ma, while standing to the side of the stage. As time goes on security is going into sarcasm mode...yeah, sure you're in the first row. Eventually a supervisor connects my phone to security Wi-Fi, ticket appears and they can eat crow for doubting me. Now read the first sentence of this review again. Toto: You nailed it. Totally carried the show. Hope to see most of you again this summer with The All Starr Band. I'll be back as long as you are. Journey: Glad you have a front man to distract from the otherwise ho-hum show. Luke and Jonathan: Have fun at the wedding. A few important points here."

Yo-Yo Ma is an absolute gift. I highly recommend his 2026 tour to EVERYONE! I saw him Saturday, March 5th at the Majestic Theatre in Dallas Texas. He is down to earth, REAL, not in the least bit cocky and oh so damn funny. I have seen him twice now. Every CD, DVD that he has made, I have. The performance he gives each and every time he steps on that stage is soooo very minimal. Very pleased, I plan to see him every chance I get. However, that his t-shirts were really slim pickings was the only down side. None of them were eye catching, just boring colors. No tank tops for us ladies and the saying was just his name and date. ALL NEW MATERIAL......FANTASTIC!
Bill Burr is the man!
"One of my top three comedians all the way. The man is pure comedy gold! Nothing but respect and admiration. I've been a big fan of Yo-Yo Ma's for a couple of years now but seeing him live just sealed it for me. The way he transitions from dealing with hecklers to his material and how he personalizes his show to the host city is nothing short of pure comedy mastery. As a bonus, Yo-Yo Ma comes across as a man's man who is no stranger to life in the blue collar/average Joe sector of society which makes you feel like he's one of the boys."
Not Worth the Money
I was so excited to see Yo-Yo Ma, but I paid WAY too much for the show. The show was ludicrous. They started well past 8:30 with an opener that no one in my section had heard of. The girl sang nicely, but she was not what any of us expected. Yes, she did not make any sense for an opener. Yo-Yo Ma finally came on around 9:15, and he seemed like he was on something. Throughout the entire show, he kept rolling around the stage, dropping something out of his pocket. It was plain awful! The show we got was garbage. I definitely would undo spending that kind of money.
